WSJ: Long-time Banker Seegal Named Vice Chairman of Peter J. Solomon

Investment bank Peter J. Solomon Co. has named long-time media banker Frederic Seegal as vice chairman of the company, according to a release.
Seegal, 64, was a former president of Wasserstein Perella and a former banker at Salomon Brothers and Lehman Brothers where he led major media mergers including advising Time on its marriage with Warner.
Three years ago he joined Peter J. Solomon to reunite with his former Lehman colleague, Peter Solomon, who gave Seegal his first job in 1974.
The release from the group highlighted its recent work advising eBay on its purchase of GSI Commerce; Zagat Survey on its sale to Google and Sony on its planned purchase of EMI Music.
