Andy Cowherd is a Managing Director and head of the Healthcare Group.
Experience
Mr. Cowherd joined PJSC in 2005. Prior to joining PJSC he spent eight years as a member of the general partner of Atlantic Medical Capital, LP, a private equity fund focused on healthcare investments. Prior to founding Atlantic Medical with two other partners, Mr. Cowherd spent two years at BT Securities, an affiliate of Bankers Trust Company and fourteen years at Salomon Brothers, where he was a Managing Director and head of the Healthcare Group in Corporate Finance. He has extensive experience on strategic and advisory assignments, and on public and private capital markets transactions. Recent transactions at PJSC include representation of Walgreen Co. in its acquisition of I-trax, Inc. and Whole Health Management Inc., and its $850 million acquisition of specialty pharmacy and home infusion provider Option Care Inc. He was also a member of the team that represented McKesson Corporation in the sale of its acute care medical-surgical distribution business to Owens & Minor, Inc. Professional Affiliations
