Role
Mitch Hara is a Managing Director in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group. He concentrates primarily on the retail and consumer products industries.

Experience
Mr. Hara rejoined PJSC in 2007 after eight years and tours of duty at both Citigroup, where he led the Specialty Retail Investment Banking Practice, and Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc., where he was a senior member of the Retail Investment Banking Group responsible for the apparel, grocery and home furnishings sectors. He has over 15 years experience advising clients on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged and equity financings, and restructurings.  

Mr. Hara has represented numerous companies and financial sponsors in the retail and consumer products industries, including Albertson's, Altria, Apollo Management, BCBG Max Azria Group, Bain Capital, Barnes & Noble, Barneys New York, The Blackstone Group, Footstar, Inc., Gerber Products Company, Gildan Activewear, The Grand Union Company, Harry & David Holdings, Inter Parfums, KKR,  Kellwood Company,  Kraft Foods, L Capital (Private Equity Affiliate of LVMH), Leonard Green & Partners, McNaughton Apparel Group, Michaels Stores, National Service Industries, Payless Shoesource, The Penn Traffic Company, Perry Ellis International, Russell Corporation, Target Corp., Texas Pacific Group,  Toys R Us, Wasserstein & Co., Winn-Dixie Stores, and Zenith Electronics Corp.

Prior to first joining PJSC in 1996, Mr. Hara was an Associate in the M&A Group at Wasserstein Perella & Co, Inc. and began his career in the Leveraged Finance Group at Citibank, N.A.
