Ethan Buyon joined the firm in 2009 as a Managing Director in the Restructuring, Recapitalization and Financing Group.
Experience
Mr. Buyon’s broad-based investment banking experience over 25 years spans restructuring, fixed income capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions. Most recently, Mr. Buyon was a Managing Director with Citi Global Markets and Banking where he managed the sale and liquidation of a $4 billion sub-prime residential property loan portfolio and served as Chief Operating Officer of Citi Residential Lending, Inc.
Mr. Buyon was a Managing Partner of CRG Partners and was responsible for managing the New York office. His restructuring advisory assignments include Silicon Graphics, Nextel International, Choice One Communications, Trinsic Communications, Vending Data, Reunion Industries, Triboro Wholesale, Benedek Broadcasting, First Wave Marine, Cromolox, Proliance International, WW Steel, Network Access Solutions, Diam Corporation, Orion Telecommunications, Ideacast, Suntel/Mallard Cable and Nova BioFuels, Inc.. In addition, Mr. Buyon advised the FDIC and the RTC on the sale of mortgage banking assets as part of the FIRREA process.
Mr. Buyon was a director in the Media and Telecommunications Group at TD Securities and was a Vice President at Schroders and a member of the high yield origination group within the Corporate Finance Department.
