Investment banking advisory firm Peter J. Solomon Company (PJSC) today announced that Steve Odland, current President and CEO of the Committee for Economic Development (CED) and former Chairman and CEO of Office Depot, Inc., and AutoZone, Inc., has joined the firm as a Senior Advisor.

Mr. Odland has more than thirty years of corporate management experience in the retail and consumer goods sectors, including numerous assignments at the helm of familiar brands. He served as Chairman and CEO of Office Depot, Inc., Chairman, President and CEO of AutoZone, Inc., President and CEO of Tops Markets, Inc., and President of the Foodservice Division of Sara Lee Bakery, and spent the first half of his career at The Quaker Oats Company in various positions. He is a member of the Board of Directors of General Mills, Inc., and Analogic Corporation.

Mr. Odland has also developed an extensive public policy background. He currently is president and CEO of the Committee for Economic Development (CED), a Washington, D.C. based nonprofit, nonpartisan, business‐led, public policy organization founded in 1942 that delivers analysis and solutions to the nation’s most critical issues.
