Solomon Partners Advised B&G Foods on its Acquisition of Clabber Girl
On May 15, 2019, B&G Foods, Inc. (NYSE: BGS) announced its acquisition of Clabber Girl Corporation from Hulman & Company.
Based in Parsippany, New Jersey, B&G Foods and its subsidiaries manufacture, sell and distribute high-quality, branded shelf-stable and frozen foods across the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Its diverse portfolio of more than 50 brands includes Back to Nature, B&G, B&M, Cream of Wheat, Green Giant, Polaner, and SnackWell’s, among others.
Clabber Girl manufactures Clabber Girl Baking Powder, the leading retail baking powder brand in the nation. Its other product offerings include the Rumford, Davis, Hearth Club and Royal brands of retail baking powder, baking soda and corn starch, and the Royal brand of foodservice dessert mixes.
