Jay Kim is a Vice President in PJ SOLOMON’s Debt Advisory & Restructuring Practice. He joined the firm in 2016.
Prior to joining PJ SOLOMON, Mr. Kim was a member of Houlihan Lokey’s financial restructuring group, where his assignments included the restructurings of RadioShack, Inc., Singapore-based Seacastle Inc., Mexico-based Oro Negro, S.A.P.I. de C.V., and Tidewater Inc.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Kim worked on the financial restructuring teams of Millstein & Co. and Rothschild Inc. His assignments included the restructurings of Energy Future Holdings, Affinion Group Inc, Global Container Terminals, Geokinetics, Inc., Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua, and Visteon Corporation.
Before attending business school, Mr. Kim was an interpretation officer in the Korean Air Force and served in the intelligence directorate of the Republic of Korea — United States Combined Forces Command in Seoul, Korea.
A graduate of Korea University, Mr. Kim received a B.A. in law, and was awarded an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
